Damage Type Changes

A few abilities and damage type mechanics have been reworked. There are now three primary damage types and a Spell Immunity Piercing status with each. Each ability now carries a notation in the tooltip indicating these.

The three damage types are Physical, Magical and Pure.

Physical is affected by Physical Armor, Magical is affected by Magical Damage Resistance and Pure is affected by neither.

Magic Immunity has now been renamed to Spell Immunity. Spell Immunity only defines if Spells interact with it, not how damage itself is handled. This means that on its own Spell Immunity status does not reduce any damage.

Black King Bar, Repel, Rage and all other previous forms of "Magic Immunity" now grant Spell Immunity status and a 100% Magic Resistance bonus.

In the vast majority of cases, the interactions are still the same, however an example of a case that would be different is if an ability has both Spell Immunity exception and has Pure damage type. Previously the damage would not have any impact, however now it does.

Ability Tooltips now have these fields:

-Damage Type: Physical/Magical/Pure
-Pierces Spell Immunity: Yes/No

If the Damage Type is not Magical it will be colored differently to make it easier to notice. The same is true in cases where Pierces Spell Immunity is Yes.

There have been a few abilities rebalanced with these mechanics in mind. In some cases the intent is to maintain similar balance, in other cases as an adjustment to their balance.



Alchemist
Acid Spray damage type from Composite to Physical (still pierces Spell Immunity)
Acid Spray damage reduced from 14/20/26/32 to 12/16/20/24


Bane
Nightmare damage from HP Removal to Pure


Beastmaster
Wild Axes damage type from Composite to Physical (still pierces Spell Immunity)
Wild Axes damage reduced from 90/120/150/180 to 70/100/130/160


Brewmaster
Primal Split Earth Spirit's Pulverize damage type from Magical that pierces Spell Immunity to Magical (No longer pierces Spell Immunity)


Doom
Doom damage type changed from Magical that pierces Spell Immunity to Pure that pierces Spell Immunity
Doom damage reduced from 30/50/70 to 20/35/50 (Aghanim's Scepter from 50/80/110 to 40/60/80)


Earthshaker
Echo Slam initial attack is now the same Magic damage type as the rest of its damage (initial damage no longer pierces Spell Immunity)


Enigma
Midnight Pulse damage type changed from Magical that Pierces Spell Immunity to Pure that Pierces Spell Immunity
Midnight Pulse damage reduced from 4/5/6/7% to 3/3.75/4.5/5.25%


Leshrac
Diabolic Edict damage type changed from Composite to Physical (still pierces Spell Immunity)
Diabolic Edict damage reduced from 12.5/25/37.5/50 to 9/18/27/36
Diabolic Edict now deals 40% more damage to towers (same overall damage per second as before)


Lina
Laguna Blade Aghanim's Scepter damage type changed from Magical that Pierces Spell Immunity to Pure that Pierces Spell Immunity
Laguna Blade Aghanim's Scepter no longer increases damage, only the damage type is changed [?]


Lone Druid
Spirit Bear death now deals 10% max health as Pure damage instead of 100/200/300/400 composite damage


Necrophos
Heartstopper Aura is now negative regeneration instead of HP Removal [?]


Techies
Land Mines damage type from Composite to Physical (still pierces Spell Immunity)
Land Mines damage reduced from 300/400/500/600 to 225/300/375/450
Suicide Squad, Attack! damage type from Composite to Physical (still pierces Spell Immunity)
Suicide Squad, Attack! damage reduced from 650/850/1150/1550 (350/400/450/500 partial) to 500/650/850/1150 (260/300/340/380)


Tinker
March of the Machines damage type changed from Magical that pierces Spell Immunity to Magical that does not pierce Spell Immunity


Vengeful Spirit
Wave of Terror damage type from HP Removal to Pure that Pierces Spell Immunity


Warlock
Fatal Bonds now shares the same damage type that is dealt into it, before it is reduced [?]
Fatal Bonds damage percentage from 20% to 25%
Flaming Fists damage type from Magical that pierces Spell Immunity to Magical (No longer pierces Spell Immunity)

Last Will damage type from Pure to Magical (Still does not pierce Spell Immunity)

Additional Notes:

1) Composite Damage: This damage type has been removed. There are no longer any abilities which use Composite Damage.

2) HP Removal: This is no longer considered a Damage Type, and its remaining uses are as an alternative cost to Mana for spells to use (Sunray, Burning Spears) or as functional HP modifications (Armlet, Sunder, etc). These are now considered usage costs in the game and are never lethal.

Dota 2 The Day 2


  About Day 1

We have completed round one of this tournament Today and we are so happy to tell you that we completed our round one successfully as we planned and our team did well as we expected.we called and contacted everyone and asked whether they are coming or not :) Thanks to roshan for this and all the participants played well good luck with other rounds and for looser's Practise more Practice will make you in one day a pro so practise more and try to be 100x good than before and try again playing with us in future tournaments! sure you will get a place.

We have changed some small changes to our rules and others
Round 2 games will be best of 3 so here is how it's work
1st round Radiant player can select any hero as he wish - Dire player will also have to play the same hero
2nd round Dire player player can select any hero as he wish - Radiant player also have to play the same hero
3rd round will be shadow fiend vs shadow fiend
Who ever takes 1st tower or 2nd kill's will win the game
Runes are allowed
Any items are allowed
For all games we will have official broadcasters
And for Finals we will bring you something Special!

Dota 2 - The Techies Update And Other Changes




Dota 2 welcomes its most notoriously explosive personalities: Techies. Now every forest trail, every escape route, and every creep camp can become your most devilish trap. Of course, if your foe steps lightly (or has a Gem of True Sight, or upgraded their Necronomicon) they might dodge your well-placed mines, avoid your ensnaring stasis traps, and sidestep your hidden remote explosives. But even when they're finally face-to-face with the giggling trio, they'll still need to contend with your deadly suicide detonation. When Techies are around, nowhere is safe!

Techies Demolitions proudly unveiled their latest commission: The Swine, the most powerful cannon ever designed. There are several trophies ready to be earned, with more on the way!








ALL-HERO CHALLENGE -


Do you have what it takes to win a match with every hero? Prove it! Open your Dota profile to begin the All-Hero Challenge and be assigned a random warrior to take on the road to victory. Claim glory, and then move on to the next. Each hero challenge shows you the average number of matches it took for all players worldwide to win with that hero, and to complete the entire All-Hero Challenge, so you'll know how you stack up. Finish the All-Hero Challenge to earn a new trophy to display in your Gallery.








ASSURED VICTORY SHOUT -

The game hasn't even begun, but already victory seems certain. Equip the Assured Victory Shout in the Action Item slot in the Global Items section of your Loadout and, before the horn sounds and the battle begins, tell the world that this match is in the bag. If your prediction is right and victory comes your way, you'll earn one point for your Victory Prediction gem. If you're wrong, it resets to zero. Predict correctly to earn enough points, and you'll find a new trophy for your Gallery.






SQUINT AND LAUGH TAUNT FOR TECHIES -

It's one thing to face an enemy. It's quite another to face Techies. If you purchased this year's Compendium for The International, you'll be granted a special taunt for the troublesome trio. Once equipped, you're a button press away from laughing at your enemies. Want to rub it in even further? Each time you kill a foe, they'll get a special view of Techies' giggling faces.




BATTLE GLORY KILL BANNER -

The enemy flees while one, two, three heroes fall before you. Triple Kill! Those who purchased this year's Compendium for The International will be able to enjoy a new type of multi-kill banner effect that celebrates their most deadly plays. Equip the Battle Glory Kill Banner in the Custom Kill Banner slot in the Global Items section of your Loadout, and then see your screen shine as you fight your way to a Rampage!

  • Items may now be dropped from the stash while dead
  • Fixed replay highlight reel transition graphic getting stuck on sometimes
  • Fixed a bug in the Coach UI where the help text sometimes overlapped the student checkboxes, rendering them unusable


ITEMS


  • Players can no longer drop or take other players' unsharable items on the courier
  • Players can no longer store other players' unsharable items in their stash
  • Items on heroes controlled by players who have disconnected, but not yet abandoned, can no longer be dropped from their inventories
  • Fixed a case where picking up an item owned by another player triggered an item combine, using items from the owning player's stash. If the item was owned by an enemy player, this would combine and steal the whole item.

COMPENDIUM TOOLS
